VIDEO GAME SHAKER CHARMS

A resource designed to help illustrators get started with complex merchandise they may want to sell, comprised of in-depth templates and tutorials.

This project consists of TEMPLATES that give artists access to line art, cut-lines, white ink layers and other important elements of an acrylic product, and SAMPLES to give real examples of results you can get from the templates and tutorials, and help both inspire ideas and visually communicate concepts. Below are images of the samples:

A keychain that was created using the template, printed onto acrylic and then constructed. This sample showcases to users how they might be able to use the product in their own practices, and provides proof of a potential outcome.

Turned digital concepts into tangible, real-world outcomes. For this project, I had to take my digital art and figure out all of the file prep work required to turn it into a physical keychain! This involved print prep, prototyping and a bit of maths/layout work.

Designed with useability and simplicity in mind. Since these are intended to be templates for other people to use, I had to stay on top of my organisation, layer management, and general ease of use. A template that only I can use isn’t a very good template, lol.

Generated samples that demonstrate how a product could be used. I had to consider which product features needed to be showcased by the samples, and how best to include those.

Managed in-house production, by hand. Generally, a product like this is manufactured elsewhere. For this project, it was important that I made it myself so that I could accurately document the manufacturing process. Everything – from laser cutting to printing, to assembly, was done by me.
